Mai Tai
notes: original recipe calls for 1/4 oz orgeat and 1/4 rich demerara syrup - I like the stronger flavor of 1/2 orgeat and omit the simple syrup.
Ingredients
- 3/4 oz lime juice
- 1/2 oz dry curaçao
- 1/2 oz orgeat syrup
- 2 oz dark jamaican rum
- (optional) 1 oz funky rum floater (Jungle Bird is great here)
Instructions
- Shake with crushed or pebble ice
- Open pour into rocks glass
- Garnish with half spent lime and mint sprig
